Manado Trip Sept '07 - day 4... END

Manado Day - 4

Hahaha... turns out I didn't break my record with this trip, in the morning I got stomachache and diarrhea, I'm sure it's from the "rica" which I took yesterday with the fish at Tondano. And it's not just me, my mom got it too and she is worse. So, the record of me getting home from Manado unhealthy is still unbroken.
Early in the morning dad went to the traditional market with my cousin to buy the "Roa" and he bought us meatball soup and rice, it really helped alot 'coz it eases the upset stomach and tastes really delicious.

After finished packing up, we checked out from the hotel and went straight away to the airport. By the meaning of packing up is we won't leave anything behind in the hotel room, including a 3/4 full of aqua bottle inside a big hand carried bag.
When I carried the bag while waiting for dad to check in, I realized it was really heavy, so I told my mom that we have to leave the bottle. She told me she wanted to drink it first, but knowing that it's the fasting season for the muslims, so she turned back while drinking to face unattended booths (probably ticket or local travel booths). Turns out there were 2 men on our right and asking my mom "yes maam, how can we help you?". Mom and I instantly laughed, she almost exploded the water she was drinking in laughter, thinking what can they helped for drinking, holding the water bottle? Well, to be fair it has to be said, that from their side they can't really see what my mom wants to do.

While waiting for the plane, mom & I walked looking around the gift shops in the airport to find that the prices are extremely high than the ones in the city, although we already thought that gift shop in the city are not cheap as well. Oh and yes... our luggage? for sure we have overweight luggage, there's alot of stuff we brought home, esp food for our family, friends and ourselves. Finally boarding time, we used another airline, Batavia airline, it uses an older plane than the airline we used to go to Manado, Lion Air. But the seat is much more comfortable as it has a bigger area for our feet to stretch than the Lion Air's plane.

After around 3 hours flight, we arrived in Jakarta. The most different thing that I saw from the air view of Jakarta and Manado is that Jakarta is a really a flat area to be compared with Manado which has lots of hills.
Knowing that there will be lots of baggage, we called our driver to remove the last seat of our faithful "kijang" car, so it will have more space.
Finally I'm home............ time to get back to my real life, my beloved city of Jakarta, though there are many things to hate, but my life and heart is always here.
