August ’09 Bali Honeymoon Trip – Bedugul & Kudeta’s Beach

Having a friend who lives in a place of our trip is always a plus point to our trip but having a friend who has photography skills and has a travel agent who is willing to take us to many places at a place of our trip is a very high bonus point. Too bad we only have our 3x optical zoom 5 MegaPixels Kodak pocket camera at that time, since our friend’s camera was not available at that time, it is used for his business, so we use our own camera and his video cam.

Plan of the day was Bedugul, the precise spot is Lake Bratan. Hubby drove from the hotel for about an hour and a half to get there. We had our lunch there as well, at a buffet type of restaurant which opens only for lunch time, the food was quite ok.

Done with our lunch we walked across the street and rent a little boat which we row on our own, thankfully our friend is an expert with boat, so we were safe and don’t have any trouble with it. Just be sure not to use the boat when there is fog for you can’t see where you are going and you can get lost to the middle to the lake, but thankfully usually the fog doesn’t stay that long.

Satisfied taking photos on the boat, we went to Candikuning. It is still in the Lake Bratan area, took some pictures again, it’s a cool place to take pictures too. Finished with Candikuning we went back south, to Kuta area, but first we stopped at Kudeta’s beach around Seminyak, it’s really beautiful, the waves are much more stronger than the in Kuta beach. And being there at sunset is really the best time, as you can see at the picture above the sand looked like a mirror, reflecting our image on it.
Me & hubby can’t resist playing around there and me running away from the waves for dirtying my pants and at a time trying to rescue our errrrr... my sandal from the wave J

Not feeling to well after riding the car with open windows, hubby and his friend needed hot food to fill them up, so we chose to have porridge as our dinner at Tuban area called Laota. Not being a fan of porridge, at first I wasn’t really happy for having porridge as dinner, but after tasting it I love it alot, we ordered 1 seafood and 1 chicken porridge, both are really delicious, 2 bowls are enough to be divided between the 3 of us. (I even came back to this place when I went to Bali again with friends, it became one of my favorite place to dine in Bali) Time to go to rest and start for a brand new day tomorrow J

In 2011 I went to Bedugul again with office friends, but to my disappointment the bamboo dock where we took some pictures is not there anymore.
