April 2013 Siem Reap trip : preparation and Jakarta - KL

This trip was a bit "last minute" decision travel, it was done only 2 months before travelling, since we have to cancel our supposed to be Singapore trip in May and again this is because AirAsiaGo was giving a rather hard to refuse offer of KL-Siem Reap-KL for hotel + air ticket, the air ticket price is almost free :)

We decided to stay a bit in KL for visiting my hubby's sister and her family, his niece adores him so much which is really sweet. We had a good family time with them too.

After searching for the best priced airline we chose Lion air for going to KL which lands in KLIA and going back to Jakarta using AA.
KLIA has no much difference than my last visit, the only difference is when I last went there I used the limo taxi which is really no trouble to find the booth, but now we wanted to go to KL Sentral using bus, neither me or hubby knew which way to go. It took us around 20 minutes to finally find out that the bus is at the basement floor. I almost can't feel the AC there and honestly I think it has bad air circulation, the aroma from the nearby canteen is really overwhelming, thankfully we had to stay there only around 5 minutes to buy the bus ticket which cost RM 10 for each person and directly go inside the bus after storing our luggage at the bus' below trunk.

My sister-in-law and her family picked us up at KL Sentral, after putting down our luggage at their home then we went out to have dinner, in a place they took me and my friend when we last visited them. The food tasted really delicious, we ordered steamed grouper teow chow style (I really love the sauce it tasted really refreshing), deep fried craw fish with cream/mayo sauce, crab in garlic and pepper, etc

Village Park Restaurant - Nasi lemak place

Since we purposely made our stay in KL on weekends we can spend our time with the whole family. In the morning they brought us to this nasi lemak which claimed to be as the best nasi lemak in town. It turned out to be really good, we really love the nasi lemak here and the teh tarik as well as the condensed milk is not as overpowering as at other places. Then we went to IKEA, my favorite place to visit while in KL :) had a good time there just looking around, I regretted that I forgot to buy the espresso coffee maker I wanted. We spent almost our entire day there, as the IKEA is connected to other shopping centers as well so I guess we were mall hopping 'till night.

The next day we spent our day at Midvalley , I had to go to the supermarket Cold Storage to buy these candy specifically for the non sugar types for my parents since they liked it a lot, as we only have a small range candies for these types back home. Can't stop myself, it's really hard to stick to my budget plan at Daiso, a Japanese store which each thing cost RM 5, even my hubby was tempted there hehehe...
After reading my review here, mostly we spent our time in KL with family and shopping :D

We were planning to go to Penang with my sister-in-law and her family on our visit after our Siem Reap trip, but we just realized that our niece has a schedule that she can't skip on next Saturday. So I thought our Penang trip is cancelled and a more shopping spree is coming ;)
